Hi Rafay,

First of all, Visual Studio is a general purpose development tool and not specific for database development. However mostly people who know VB.NET use it for database applications as well. It supports programming in C++, C Sharp and many more languages now. The purpose is to develop applications. Visual Studio can also be used for developing Web Applications using ASP.NET Technology.

While MS Access is limited to database applications only and even in that, it is limited to develop single user applications and not suitable for client-server programming.

I hope this answers your question,

Enjoy!
