When I open a drawing that has many layers, is there an quick way to put all the objects on 1 layer?, Or get rid of the layers alltogether?

yes, it is done using the LayerControl macro on http://recent.tekcities.com/

ShowLayers.MergeLayersToCurrent

P.S.This macro always shows current layer name in a CorelDRAW title window, so if you like to keep the macro and wish to remove layer name info just run ShowLayers.toggleLayerAutoActivation
