Is there a way to align the stroke on a path in CorelDraw just like in Illustrator (stroke palette) I want to put the border of a shape INSIDE the stroke so the shape size equals the stroke size, I think this is a BASIC function but I can“t find it anywhere in CorelDraw X3. The options in Ilustrator are: OUTSIDE, MIDDLE, INSIDE

no, this is not basic in Draw :-)

workarounds:
1. contour tool
2. place a copy (with outline) of shape inside the original (shape) with no outline

You can stroke all perfect shapes, also unclosed shapes and any vector line. Select the shape or line you wish to stroke and then find the brush or artistic media stroke you want to apply to the objects perimeter. When you select the brush, double click it and it applies to the object. I am referring to using the Property Bar here but there is a better way to do it. For some reason switching to the correct brush and then double clicking in a drop down menu just doesn't work that well. So-o-o-o-o....

You can apply all brushes via the Artistic Media Docker, as it gives you a larger view of your brushes which are italic, the sprayer and your regular brush strokes too. Not only that, you can open any brush strokes you have saved on your hard drive, or your CorelDRAW CD's or you can create a brush stroke and save it or an Sprayer brush. It is just better to work with the Docker. There is also a lock feature which allows you to auto apply any new stroke you choose. This feature isn't on the Property Bar but should be.
